Diwali is one of the most important seasonal festivals in India, held from the end of October to the beginning of November. It is similar to Christmas for Christians. For people of certain religions, it is the beginning of a new year. It is celebrated as the day when Prince Rama defeated the demon-king Ravana. Also, it is a festival to celebrate victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and good over evil. For five days, more than one billion people of various faiths from all over India gather with their families to pray, enjoy feasts and fireworks, and make charitable donations.
Diwali is also a festival of lights. City streets are lined with clay oil lamps, entrance halls are decorated with rangoli designs (colored sand paintings depicting flowers and animals), and buildings, markets, and houses throughout the city are decked out in a variety of decorations.
One of our corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities is to provide financial support to non-governmental organizations (NGOs). Each year, Inabata India Private Ltd. donates a portion of its profits to the underprivileged for the betterment of society.
In 2022, all of our offices participated in the CSR activities, donating to NGOs and other organizations that support the visually impaired, provide educational assistance to needy children, and engage in vocational training and women empowerment campaigns. In order to contribute to social improvement, we at Inabata India hope to be involved in more projects in the future.

In the heart of Pune is the Shreemant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Mandir, a temple dedicated to the Hindu god Ganesha. It is a symbol of the city of Pune and was built more than 100 years ago with donations from Shreemant Dagdusheth, a famous sweet maker. The temple houses a Ganesha statue adorned with over 40 kg of gold, and devotees from India and abroad visit this temple every year to offer prayers to Lord Ganesha. It is one of the most worshiped temples in India and has a long and illustrious history. Every year, a Hindu festival called Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated, with hundreds of thousands of people bringing statues of Ganesh from all over India to celebrate with deep faith and passion.
