Inabata America Corp. (IKA) received its first Outstanding Performance Award in 2022 from a U.S. manufacturing arm of Nifco Inc., headquartered in Kanagawa Pref., Japan. In 2022, the award ceremony, usually held every other year, took place for the first time in three years since it was postponed in 2021. Five companies, including IKA, won the award among dozens of suppliers.

Nifco is a manufacturer of industrial fasteners and other automotive components. It does business with IK Group worldwide, mainly in plastics for automotive applications. Inabata America annually sells 5 million dollars worth of ABS and PC/ABS resins* for automotive interior parts to Nifco.

Wataru Ojio, in charge of Nifco at IKA, said, “We owe it to Ina Kotera, who supports sales activity and maintained excellent communication with Nifco. Despite the logistics disruption since last year, including when containers were held at the port for more than a month, we managed to continue our supply without any critical problems.” ​​​​​​​
