Inabata & Co., Ltd.’s Life Industry Division, Inabata Europe GmbH, and Kaneku Co., Ltd., a wasabi processing manufacturer, jointly exhibited in SIAL Paris 2022, one of the largest comprehensive food exhibitions in Europe, which took place in France, Oct.15-19.

Inabata introduced frozen sushi, and about 800 guests visited the booth, including distributors of marine and Japanese food products, and staff from the hotel and restaurant industries.

Frozen sushi was popular among European and Middle Eastern customers, said Asami Sakamoto, who is in charge of the products at the division, adding, “all of the 1,000 tastings prepared for the event were gone!” She said Inabata received compliments, such as “The quality of the sushi even exceeds that of fresh sushi!” or “Frozen sushi has been available in Europe for 20 years, but I can’t believe the quality has improved so much.”
